How program works:
We can provide specialized instrumentation for your patients so you can monitor their ocular health without having to purchase this state of the art equipment. The patient will be instructed that we are only providing a testing service and you will monitor their ocular diagnosis and by having these tests done an appropriate treatment plan can be established for their care. The tests will be performed and the results will be emailed to you and a hard copy sent to your office for you to review with your patient.
Outcome: Allow your patients to stay in the local South Tampa area and prevent having patients travel further then necessary for specialized testing. You will retain your patients in your office without having to refer to a tertiary provider for follow up care. This will allow you maintain the relationship you have established with them. And they will be receiving the latest technology in eye care allowing appropriate treatment plans to be maintained. |

GDx VCC:
The GDx VCC has the ability to monitor optic nerve changes associated with glaucoma, brain tumors, and multiple sclerosis. It has the potential to measure changes in the nerves 5 years before any other technology can detect them making it the most advanced technology currently on the market. |

Canon Cr-4 Digital Fundus Camera:
This instrument has the ability to photograph the retina. This allows the doctor and the patient to simultaneously examine the health of the retina. Documentation of conditions that can effect the eye and overall health of the body like Diabetes, Hypertension, Lupus, MS, HIV, Glaucoma, Macular Degeneration, and Strokes can be accomplished with this technology. Initial photographs are stored and can be compared with subsequent visits. |

Pachymeter Transducer:
Sonogage CORNEO-GAGE⢠PLUS pachometers are the easiest to use, most accurate and measurement-reproducible pachometers available. This is due to the exclusive use of 50 MHz transducers and smallest tip footprint available coupled with advanced electronics and 1000 measurement echo average for every displayed reading. This allows corneal thickness measurements to be made for many applications including glaucoma patients, hypertension suspects and refractive surgery candidates.
Also, Sonogage pachometers can be used intra-operatively to monitor flap thicknesses in LASIK and to measure epithelium thickness for refractive surgery regression and for the fitting of CRT/ORTHO-K lenses for corneal reshaping.

Eyequip corneal topographer: This piece of equipment has the ability to capture up to eight images by depressing either the supplied footswitch or capture button on the Scout panel. Data is automatically transferred through the dock leading to a computer. This gives the doctor the capability to be able to view and measure the contour of the cornea and is useful in fitting contact lenses. It also has the ability to be able to help with pre/post lasik surgery. Another benefit of the topographer is the monitoring of corneal diseases like KERATOCONUS (a degenerative disorder of the eye in which structural changes in the cornea cause it to thin and change to a more conical shape than its normal gradual curve). |
